Pruna's p-video is the cheapest video on 8frame: its Draft tier makes 5 seconds at 720p for 4 credits, and 1080p for 7. Full p-video is 14 at 720p, and p-video 2 Pro, which its provider calls "Pruna's highest-quality video model", runs from 14 to 51 depending on mode and resolution. All of them come back with sound. Pruna is new to 8frame, so this page covers price and settings, not quality: we have not published a test of its output.

Canon 8frame prices, a credit is about $0.01 at pack rate. Every option bills per second, rounded up once per clip:

Which option for which job
p-video Draft is for blocking: checking whether a motion, a framing or a prompt works at all before you pay for it anywhere. The provider describes draft mode as "a lower-quality preview of the video", so treat it as a sketch, not a deliverable. At 4 credits, ten directions cost 40.
p-video is the same model without the draft shortcut, at four times the price. It is the only option here that takes an audio track.
p-video 2 Pro is the separate, newer model. Speed mode is the cheaper of its two; Quality costs about twice as much at each resolution. Its top resolution is 768p, so for 1080p you need p-video or Draft.
Sound
p-video's input schema saves the video with audio by default, and 8frame does not change that setting. The provider's own example outputs for both p-video and p-video 2 Pro carry a real audio track; we checked the files on 2026-09-30. There is no silent switch on 8frame, so mute in the edit if you need to.
Draft is the one gap: the same default applies, but we have not confirmed that draft output keeps its sound, so do not count on it. How every model handles sound is in AI video models with audio, by model.
The audio-track rule
p-video (full and Draft) accepts a track in flac, mp3 or wav. Per the provider's schema, the duration setting is "ignored when audio is provided": the clip follows the track. 8frame bills the track's length, rounded up to the whole second, and refuses a track longer than 20 seconds before charging. A 12-second track on full p-video at 720p is 33 credits. p-video 2 Pro takes no audio.
Start image and shape
A start image can be jpg, jpeg, png or webp (not gif). With a start image, the model ignores the ratio setting and keeps the image's shape, so crop the image first.
From text, p-video offers seven shapes: 16:9 (the default), 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, 3:2, 2:3 and 1:1. Only Grok Imagine matches that range on 8frame, and 2:3 is the one to know for Pinterest. The comparison is in AI video aspect ratios by model.
Prompting
Both models expand your prompt before generating by default (the provider calls it prompt upsampling), and 8frame leaves that on. A short prompt is therefore rewritten into a longer one. If the output adds things you did not ask for, be more specific about what the frame should and should not contain.
