AI video files differ in size far more than their resolution suggests. We measured the files models returned to 8frame over the last 120 days. At the median, 10 seconds of Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro at 1080p is about 33 MB. Ten seconds of Seedance 2.0 at 720p is about 6 MB, and 10 seconds of Gemini Omni Flash at 720p about 3 MB. At the same 720p, a Kling v3 Standard file is about 7 times the size of an Omni Flash file. Every file in the table is H.264 video in an MP4 container at 24 frames per second. 8frame does not re-encode them: the file you download is the file the model returned.

Models without enough files in the window to give a stable median are left out. We will add them as files accumulate.
What the numbers show
- Resolution does not predict size. Kling v3 Standard at 720p is heavier than Happy Horse at 1080p, and close to Hailuo H3 at 2K.
- Same resolution, sevenfold spread. At 720p, Kling v3 Standard runs at 17.2 Mbps, Seedance 2.0 at 4.7 and Gemini Omni Flash at 2.4.
- Seedance 2.5 files are heavier than 2.0. At 720p, about 2.6 times the size.
- Kling 1080p is the heaviest output we measured. Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro and 2.6 Pro both sit above 24 Mbps at the median.
A bigger file is not proof of a better picture. Bitrate tells you how many bits the provider's encoder spent, not how good the frames are. Judge quality by watching the clip, not by its size.
Why it matters
On a phone. Ten 10-second takes on Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro at 1080p are about 330 MB to download. The same ten takes on Seedance 2.0 at 480p are about 30 MB. On a data plan, draft on a light model and download only the final takes. More on phone workflows in can you make AI videos on your phone.
Upload caps. Google Business Profile accepts videos up to 30 seconds and 75 MB. That works out to 20 Mbps: a 30-second video above that rate will not fit. At Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro's median rate, 30 seconds is about 99 MB; at Seedance 2.5's 720p rate, about 46 MB. If your edit is built from Kling 1080p shots, export it at a lower bitrate before uploading. Amazon Sponsored Brands video allows up to 500 MB and Meta's Reels ads up to 4 GB, so AI clips fit there without re-encoding.
Storage. A library of 1080p Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro takes grows more than five times faster than the same number of Seedance 2.0 720p takes.
How to get smaller files
- Pick the resolution first. Seedance 2.0 at 480p is about half the size of 720p. Resolution also sets the price, see AI video resolution by model.
- Draft on a light model. Seedance 2.0 and Gemini Omni Flash files are a fraction of Kling's.
- Re-encode on export. Any video editor can export at a lower bitrate. Check the result at full screen before you send it.
